I felt the need for a new diver in my life. No idea why as I have quite a few of these at home! Anyway this is the watch that (for the moment at least) has satisfied that need.
It's a Rotary vintage diver which uses the auto/manual wind, hacking, quick set date Seiko NH35A movement (nice that it's not some dodgy Chinese clone) in a vintage style case. Quality's not too bad & it all seems well screwed together. I'm reasonably sure that the crystal is screwed down - which is a nice touch if I'm right. There are key marks on a ring just round the outside of the crystal. Not sure why these would be there otherwise as they don't match up with the dial markers & if they were for decoration they surely would ..... unless my watch has been messed about with & they should line up! The case is stainless steel & there's no depth rating beyond the Dolphin Rotary standard (not sure what that means). The bezel rotates nicely with little/no play & the crown screws down securely. the case is nicely made to but it's not been finished off very well between the lugs.
Dial is a matte black colour & the lume has been "vintageised" (that's a real word that is). The watch has a display back but I'm not sure why on a divers watch & the movement's not decorated so nothing much to look at. The watch came fitted with a solid link stainless steel bracelet which rattles hence the watch now being on a bond Nato. The crystal is mineral but domed which is a nice touch.
Diameter including the crown is 44mm (less the crown it's 41mm across) x 13mm thick x 50mm lug tip to lug tip. Dial diameter is 32mm & lug width is 20mm.
Not sure what else to say about it - it's not going to set the horological world on fire but it's a nice watch that's scratched an itch
