Just from browsing it seems that there are several schools of thought on this. I am only WIS because I have a lot of watches and nothing pleases me more than a watch ( mostly). Others have in depth knowledge and I know @gimli thinks it is a shame not to change your own batteries 
. He could be right.
Many TWF members have in depth watch knowledge, Padders, Alan, David CXN, Roy and I believe also Wrench and Gimli are up to the mark. I haven't forgotten you Martin, or Rob 
I know most will say do as you like, and of course that's true, but people like Steve and John who joined about the same time as me are taking watches to bits 
What is your level of WISery? Do people like myself with superficial knowledge, but definite likes, miss out on the obsession?
