Am I mad?

I've just bought a Favre Leuba Sea King from early 1960's. It was late at night after a few glasses of wine, and when I bought it I knew I wouldn't wear it...

I do wear my other old watches and I do like the look of this one even though it's not a great example (but it was cheap). I bought it for no other reason than I didn't have one! Made perfect sense to me. The trouble is, it's too small for me to wear - 33mm, and I know old watches are small but the new 16mm strap looks girly for want of a better word. I might try it out with one of those wide cuff type straps and see what it looks like, but I'm just happy to have it in my collection. Anyone else done this before, or am I mad like the wife says?
