What do you guy's think about this beauty?

I had a little trip around Selfridges and Bond St. today after meeting my nephew for lunch along the river. I was particularly seeking out the Chopard Mille Miglia 2015 race edition LE. I have loved this watch since I first read about it in a magazine and I'm quite familiar with the Chopard classic racing range in any case, which I have seen in their boutique in Bangkok  (several times), although they don't have this watch in stock, but claim to have had one, which they sold and have said they could order another.

Basically, they have created a red dial for the LE, which is limited to an edition of 1000 and has Chopards own 01.08-C in-house COSC certified movement on a special calf skin strap, which differs to the photo, in that the stitching on the actual strap is red, to match the dial. Sadly, it was lust at first sight and there is no difference in colour from this photo, to the actual watch in the flesh and the legibility is stunning.

They had the LE in their boutique in Selfridges as well as their store in Bond Street, but I tried it on in Selfridges and boy, did it look great on the wrist and it fitted like a glove and the weight and balance was just perfect. As I say the legibility is stunning and I was just smitten really. I was almost dribbling! :swoon:

Now the flip side - the cost. It's pretty good for an LE, in that it's just £290 more expensive than the standard black dial / tyre style rubber strap, but sadly and scarily, that still pushes the price up to £4510. And being as daft as I am, I didn't even ask if they'd throw in a discount! My head says no, no no, big time, but my heart say's oh bugger the cost, buy it! I fly back to Thailand on Tuesday - help!
